Do you religiously rinse your board off after every single session and lose sleep over it if you can?t?
Do you hate getting your wetsuit all sandy?
Do you have a little surf kit that separates and stores your wax, sunscreen, leash string, earplugs, butt plug, and wax comb?
Do you cringe at the site of wax on the bottom of your board?
Do you know which way your board goes into your boardbag so as not to get wax on the bottom?
Are all your boards facing the same direction (fins facing west and noses up) in your rack at home?
Does your significant other think you?re insane?
Does your board go into your truck the same way every time?
If you?ve answered ?yes? to any of these questions you my friend have joined the ?surf OCD? ranks. Congratulations! You join an elite, hypersensitive to sand crew!
As far as the crew here at Transworld SURF, Casey Koteen and myself have a sever case of it. Koteen can?t even sleep at night if his wettie has one grain of sand on it and I?ve been able to rinse my precious boards off after nearly every single session this year, and thank God too, Tamayo Perry once told me that if you do so, your board has less of a chance of breaking. Yeah, Tamayo?s got it too?

Come out of the Surf OCD closet and join the ranks! Oh and the oars in the back of my truck? They?re for the big, upcoming flood that will finally separate California from Arizona?
