It’s getting to be the time of year when everyone in the surf world starts asking their bros, “When are you going to Hawaii?”

It’s a question that surfers have been asking themselves for over 60 years now, back when they had to take steamships across the roughly 2,200 mile voyage. It’s now an easy five-hour flight from California?you can wake up in the morning at home and be surfing Rockies that afternoon.

While we we’re at the office watching the final day of 25th annual Xcel Pro at Sunset Beach yesterday, the crystal clear water and amazing, 8-10 foot surf was making me want to leave today. But no such luck, shit outta luck to be exact, not yet.
